There is much more to Jamaica than the stereotypical extremes that exist in many people’s minds. More than the white-sandy beaches and the inner-city squalor. More than the world-class athletes, artistes and criminal masterminds. Yet this is Jamaica to so many people – both local and foreign. Many are ignorant of the natural and cultural wealth present in this island – in the central mountainous forests, underground caves, wetlands, offshore cays and the surrounding waters of the Caribbean Sea. Over the past 20 years, I have made it my mission to explore and document beyond the stereotype. This ongoing process will be reflected in the evolving body of work that you will find here.
